Embio
I have accidentally overwritten OSX with OSX server (upgrade, not a 'clean sheet' install) and my original Tiger DVD will obviously not overwrite it. any ideas? I dont really want to be running an illegal OSX Server install as my primary OS on my macbook. thanks guys, first post but I have been reading this forum for ages. dary23
You could always just boot into your os x install dvd then go to utilities choose disk utility and erase the disc. Then once it's done, close disk utilty and you should be able to install just fine. Good luck. Korrupted
Then burn your pictures, porn(Come on, who doesn't have at least *one* pornographic item on their PC as long as it's not a work PC?), documents, and whatever else you have to a DVD and then securely erase the disk. No biggy. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33824-osx-server-to-osx/#findComment-239462 Share on other sites
Embio
can honestly say there is no porn on here. Virtual Machines are the main thing - I need to get a DVD burner then :-( thanks anyway, having 'OSX Server' in 'About This Mac' is pretty cool so its no great problem, I'll just delete the Server apps to reclaim the space. Is the Server version a different Kernel? I've been looking and it didnt seem to be, but I might be wrong. asap18
first backup, then delete the server folder in applications, then apply the 10.4.8 update for regular os x edition Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33824-osx-server-to-osx/#findComment-241974 Share on other sites
