yoyojoe
Hi, I want to get macOS so I can use Xcode, but I don't want to buy a mac and I don't have a friend with a mac. I was looking at this guide. There are genuine Apple Snow Leopard install disks available, so if I used one of those disks instead of the image file mentioned in the article and did everything else like the article said, would Snow Leopard run? I would then upgrade it to El Capitan and then to Mojave after that of course. If this is a stupid question, I am sorry. I am a noob and a windows/linux person. Thanks in advance, yoyojoe

yoyojoe
I got the disk and it did not work because macos server is not on the vbox list. How do I fix this?

kproemsey
I have been trying to do something similar does anyone have any idea what the issue is here?
Naki
Suggestion - use VMware Workstation instead of VM VirtualBox. It is more likely to work fine and also easy to work with.
