Installed latest Mojave Public Beta on a spare HDD and finally managed to boot into it. The GUI is cool, dark mode is excellent, but unfortunately only the screen attached to the iGPU (HD4600) outputs video. My ATI HD5450 won’t output signal despite the fact I use the same settings that make it work fine with Sierra (Inject ATI, LoadVBios, FB=Eulemur, tried Cedar as well, FakeID=68E01002). Strangely, the card itself appears correctly  in the System Report, showing as a HD5450, Metal support=yes, but no VRAm size (instead of zero or some small number usually  associated with a non-supported card).

With the wifi card, my only means to access the internet, the situation is even worse: it won’t even appear in the System Report! It’s a TPLink WDN 4800, which used to work OOB untill Sierra.

P.S.: by mistake, I put this topic on “installation”: can it be moved to the appropriate “post installation” forum? Thanks!

Done :)

On Mojave  the kext atheros is not present

It is necessary to install the one of 10.13

You can see more info here

Same situation for AMD videos, the kext have been removed
only 7xxx series and later have support

Thank you for moving my topic!

In fact, I managed to get it working by rolling back to High Sierra's kext! Do you think there's chance that rolling back the appropriate kexts will do the trick for the HD5450 as well? Unfortunatelly, I just only have access to Sierra's now...

I'm not sure if this video  works with rollback .. but you can try

No, no dice! I think Sierra's kexts are far too old to Mojave.

Another (rather small) problem: "Startup Disk" doesn't work: I have always to select the disk manually in the Clover boot menu!

Another thing: it seems Intel HD graphics are not matured yet (no surprise here): vram, name and resolution are correct, but there are some glitches, specially when watching videos or anything graphics-demanding, really.

That did the trick (High Sierra AMD kexts)! Thanks a lot! If I manage to solve the Startup Disk issue, I'll write a guide!

Try to write the correct name for startup disk

you need a gpu which supports metal, because the ui in mojeve uses metal rendering, so even using older drivers, you will still not have graphics acceleration

Bumped into another issue now: System Report reports both my cards (Intel HD 4600 and AMD HD 5450) with the correct VRAM and resolution (pics attached), and I can watch Youtube videos just fine, so I thought they were both working as they should. But Final Cut will give me an error (picture attached) and Cinebench uses Apple Software Render instead of either card. What could be wrong?

I got mine working too by following this thread but no acceleration, it's really slow and lags bigtime. Currently on High Sierra 10.13.6 and works fine.

How i can do for high sierra? can you explain me
