My specifications are as follows:

iMac 18,1 (iMacPro goes black screen after boot)

GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 / Intel Core i5-8600K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.6 GHz / 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 3000MHz

Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB (Collected from External Graphics Kit from Apple)

200GB NVME Drive (Samsung) + 500GB Samsung 2.5" SSD

Big thanks to @MaLd0n to help me get as far as I did by providing me with DSDT and Clover config for High Sierra

Installation Procedure:

Upgrade from Mac App Store after installing the profile from the Apple developer site. Upgraded to Beta 2 the same way.

What does work:

Graphic Acceleration

iMessage

USB ports are all working

Thunderbolt 3 (with TB-BRIDGE Add-on card, no hot-plug)

Shutdown

Restart

Audio (through Thunderbolt 3 Dock, on-board audio is not working but I think it's just a matter of updating the kext)

Ethernet

What does NOT work:

Sleep and Wake (more on that below)

Sleep/Wake & General Graphic Issues

I am having on and off issues with my graphic card. Sometimes it will just freeze, my mouse keeps moving, audio works but both screens are completely frozen. A hard reboot fixes that.

And then just overall when I have to go through the login screen, whether it is on wake or on normal boot, both my screens just turn black. I get 1 screen that goes "no signal" for a few minutes and then comes back up black. If I wait 2 minutes while pressing "Enter" every once in a while, both screen flickers and eventually my login screen shows up. This is very weird. I have internal graphics enabled in my BIOS but I don't see it in System Information, I would be willing to do whatever it takes to fix it even if it means disabling internal graphics. Any help would be appreciated.

Also worth noting I had issues with my GPU on High Sierra too.

Thanks!

Phil

Fun fact, "Internal Graphics" was Disabled in my BIOS. Not sure what happened.

When I enable it + Your CLOVER: Clover is throwing a "unable to allocate runtime area" error

When I enable it + my previous config.plist: Clover is throwing a "unable to allocate runtime area" error

When I disable it + Your CLOVER: It boots but I get black screens after.

I had to restore my previous clover folder for things to work.

Also (random fact) on reboot sometimes I get this: https://imgur.com/a/X7vG5pt

Here are my BIOS config while I have internal Graphics enabled:

I had a similar issue With my RX 480 and RX 460 cards in Mojave.   I would get black screen after boot but could see the cursor and flickering.   I connected my monitor HDMI to a Displayport to HDMI adapter and now they both work.   So it seems the HDMI ports were/are the issue for me.

Both my monitors are hooked with DisplayPort at this moment, I had similiar problems in High Sierra.

Hey @MaLd0n,

I was finally able to boot using my IGPU + GPU by spoofing a kaby lake platform-id and disabling gfx firmware. Im sure it's not the right way but at least I got in to generate the RunMe. Here it is:

Thank you <3

Ok so I had to take out the DSDT.aml that I had previous because it was causing boot errors very early on in the process. This is my current config including fresh DSDT drop. Both IGPU and my RX580 are recognized, 1 screen connected in each, both working.

@MaLd0n If you could look at that and generate new DSDT it would be perfect.
