Shaneee Posted April 25, 2018 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Ok so I was having issues with on-board and HDMI audio using VoodooHDA. No AppleALC due to AMD setup. VoodooHDA was crackling on on-board and couldn't sort and there was no HDMI output. So I bought a Sabarent AU-MMSA USB Audio device. Issue is it's acting just like the on-board audio was. With or without VoodooHDA being injected. bronxteck Posted April 25, 2018 Share Posted April 25, 2018 could be an HPET / TSC Sync issue. does your system clock slow down or run faster then it should. also check cpu and buss ratios. I'd tried with bus ratio before to no effect but wouldn't hurt to try again. The clock runs at the correct speed. marvelloard Posted July 30, 2018 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Had this problem with any USB device on my old setup, as a workaround I used to use my old SoundBlaster PCI for sound. No problems there... (kX audio). There are even working PCIe versions, maybe you want to give it a try.
