anarchy99
Alright I was hoeing you guys could give me the name of a osx x86 disk that would be compatible for my computer and or what steps i would need to follow to make it compatible. System hardware. Intel 805 D. 2.66ghz lga 755 socket. (oc'd at about 3.6) ddr2 rendition by crucial (533 oc'd to 677) Nvidia p5nsli-32 sli delux (nforce 4) Nvidia 7950 gx2 Seagate Barracuda 320 gig sata 2. Which cd would be most compliant with that and what steps would need be taken further to allow the system to work. Also thoughts on the installation method (vmware image or native)
Rammjet
nForce4 SATA is a no-no. Get a PATA drive. Otherwise, use the JaS 10.4.8 Intel SSE3 Only Reseed iso. You only need to install thru VMWare if for some reason you can't boot the DVD.

SaberSHO
well, sata on nforce 4 does not work. So it either a new drive(or a used old one), or no go.

Rammjet
What about the SATA driver for nforce4? :/ From what I have read in the thread, it is not yet working reliably. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=31091 i have about 6 cents, and maybe a quarter around tops Since a 250 GB drive goes for $50-60, a 40 GB drive should be available for some bubble gum or found being used as a door stop somewhere. Look, you asked: what steps i would need to follow to make it compatible. and we told you that to make it compatible you need a PATA hard drive.
