Hello there,

i recently bought an GTX1060 and i have from the beginning perfomance problems.

Than i bought a Gigabyte Aorus Radeon RX 580 8G, this works like a charm, without any perfomance problems.

Does somebody knows, how this could be fixed?

NVIDIA Web Driver: 378.10.10.10.25.103

The Nvidia GTX 1060 tends to have issues, especially if it is non reference card. Nvidia GTX 960 got issues too, and GTX 1050Ti/GTX 1060 got traits from the GTX 960. If comparing this to the AMD Radeon RX 580, the RX 580 is much more supported with MacOS, with native drivers.

But lets try to fix this problem.

In order to get Pascal (1000 series) to work, the boot argument nvda_drv=1 is not needed, however, there are some steps you need to do.

in config.plist for Clover, you need to go to System Parameters and check for Nvidia Web.

Your system might not have native NVRAM working, so you might need emu variable driver.

You also need a proper method of AGDP patching. SMBIOS starting from iMac 15.1+ and Mac Pro 6,1 needs AGDP patching,

For this you can use Lilu kext and NvidiaFix kext, or you can do it from DSDT, Kext-to-Patch or even manually.

However, many people have had problems with their GTX 1060, especially if they are non-reference.

Good Lucky! :)

There's a long thread on tony site entitled "GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra" - it's all Pascal cards, Maxwell too it seems. It does seem to work ok for a few people, many have problems.

 that's right.

my GTX 1080 only run at 1139Hz core clock, Adobe Pr CC 2017 render with cuda not good.
