i5-8600k/z370m-d3h with a GTX1060/6GB troubles

So, after many years i updated my system with some new hardware.

I allready had a GTX1060/6GB which worked fine with my earlier build.

Now i am trying to get it to work with my new hardware:

i5-8600k on a Z370m-d3h board from Gigabyte.

All seems well, the stuff boots. but i cant get the graphics card to work properly. Because it needs the webdrivers i checked this in clover configurator, but this results in a reboot loop as soon as the graphics driver is loaded during boot.

I have tried with disablding or enabling the intel GFX part but no change..

Right now i have no idea where to go next. any ideas will be very helpfull...

If more info is needed i can profide ofc.

was "NvidiaWeb" activated in config.plist?
was Nvidiawebdriver installed?

did you also install these two drivers?
Lilu.kext
NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

The drivers can be found above under download

if it does not work, then restart your system and enter this code into the terminal:

kextstat | grep -v apple

and then paste the content here in your thread

Thanks so much for helping.

Heres the result from the command:

Attached are my clover folder and ioreg/etc dumps.

I tried so many different configs that i now use some basic one that doesnt enable the webdrivers because that doesnt work..

I'm out of house, I'll take look it later. But follow the advice of mald0n

Oh that only referred to the creation of the ioreg and dsdt.aml. No problem this is also okay. See you later.

So, i have made some steps.

Right now im using the attached config. I somehow needed to reinstall the nvidia web drivers and add nvda_drv=1 to the config.

At this point i want to get rid of useless code in the config. im not 100% sure what i can delete..

Also i would like to enable the intelGFX, i've seen other people being able to use this togehter with their nvidia cards

Id also like to know if its wise to change to a newer imac (like 18.x or newer)

@MaLd0n i did just that. i noticed that sound doesnt work as before (my previous settigns were working) but the rest seems to work.

attached are the ioregs.

Right now i notice that i (still) have the issues were itunes does not work, hangs during use. sorted by enabling intelGFX in bios

Also i get artifacts after wake from sleep.

ID 1 was used.  audio over DP works, but is called HDMI. and there are 4 digital-out HDMI channels.

The garbled graphics on wake issue persists :(

also wake only works when pressing the power button, not on keyboard. (seems that all usb devices are disconnected on sleep)

id 1 is done into DSDT, just use applealc+Lilu+DSDT

Captura de Tela 2017-12-28 às 15.20.06.png

Voodoohda activate all audio in GPU, if work, just use, ye, create more outputs

use power button for wake, i kill usb wake, if u can, i apply wake from mouse/keyboard again, but to avoid problem, the best is kill it

ye, disconnect and connect again, fast, is common problem, no solution now, we need read datasheet chipset for check in new chipsets

Thank you Maldon for the work you put into this. i have changed my Audio to the previous setup, and this works fine (with hdmi/DP audio)

For now i have fixed the sleep/wake issue by powering off and on my monitor.

If USB isnt disconnected during sleep, what problems might that give? And how can i change this if i want to test this..?

With this new dsdt everything seems to work apart from the wake issue that is related to the gfx card.

one thing i noticed is that i get around 22k score in geekbench, which seems a tad low for this CPU...  can this be anything setting related?

attached is the clover folder and ioreg dump.

i think is good, if u can test, Generate SSDT with Pike script

Im supposed to dump the *.aml files in the ACPI folder right?

Pike doesnt have the coffeelake CPU's yet, getting:

Error: Unknown processor model ...
Visit http://ark.intel.com to gather the required data:
       Processor Number

       Low Frequency Mode (use AppleIntelInfo.kext)

       Threads

Edit: I used this: http://hackintosher.com/guides/generating-coffee-lake-ssdt-hackintosh/which seemed to create something.. whats the best way to test?

I created an ssdt with the script i found above.

the result is:
