YoYelloW Posted December 28, 2017 Share Posted December 28, 2017 So, after many years i updated my system with some new hardware. I allready had a GTX1060/6GB which worked fine with my earlier build. Now i am trying to get it to work with my new hardware: i5-8600k on a Z370m-d3h board from Gigabyte. All seems well, the stuff boots. but i cant get the graphics card to work properly. Because it needs the webdrivers i checked this in clover configurator, but this results in a reboot loop as soon as the graphics driver is loaded during boot. I have tried with disablding or enabling the intel GFX part but no change.. Right now i have no idea where to go next. any ideas will be very helpfull... If more info is needed i can profide ofc. spakk Posted December 28, 2017 Share Posted December 28, 2017 (edited) was "NvidiaWeb" activated in config.plist?was Nvidiawebdriver installed? did you also install these two drivers?Lilu.kextNvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext The drivers can be found above under download if it does not work, then restart your system and enter this code into the terminal: kextstat | grep -v apple and then paste the content here in your thread Edited December 28, 2017 by spakk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/331036-i5-8600kz370m-d3h-with-a-gtx10606gb-troubles/#findComment-2557484 Share on other sites More sharing options...

YoYelloW Posted December 28, 2017 Author Share Posted December 28, 2017 So, i have made some steps. Right now im using the attached config. I somehow needed to reinstall the nvidia web drivers and add nvda_drv=1 to the config. At this point i want to get rid of useless code in the config. im not 100% sure what i can delete.. Also i would like to enable the intelGFX, i've seen other people being able to use this togehter with their nvidia cards Id also like to know if its wise to change to a newer imac (like 18.x or newer) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>DropOEM_DSM</key> <false/> <key>Fixes</key> <dict> <key>FixDisplay</key> <true/> <key>FixHPET</key> <true/> <key>FixShutdown</key> <true/> <key>FixUSB</key> <true/> <key>FixWAK</key> <true/> </dict> <key>Name</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> <key>Patches</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>change HDAS to HDEF</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> SERBUw== </data> <key>Replace</key> <data> SERFRg== </data> </dict> </array> <key>ReuseFFFF</key> <false/> </dict> <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>DMAR</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>MATS</string> </dict> </array> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>DropOem</key> <false/> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <false/> <key>PStates</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> </dict> <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Arguments</key> <string>dart=0</string> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>DefaultVolume</key> <string>Mac SSD</string> <key>Legacy</key> <string>PBR</string> <key>Secure</key> <false/> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>XMPDetection</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> <key>CPU</key> <dict> <key>UseARTFrequency</key> <false/> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>1</string> </dict> <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IMEI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IntelGFX</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>LAN</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>NVidia</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>SATA</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>WIFI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>XHCI</key> <string>0x0</string> </dict> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>FixOwnership</key> <false/> <key>Inject</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>DisableDrivers</key> <array> <string>Nothing</string> </array> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Hide</key> <array> <string>'Preboot'</string> </array> <key>Language</key> <string>en:0</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>DoubleClick</key> <integer>500</integer> <key>Enabled</key> <true/> <key>Mirror</key> <false/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>8</integer> </dict> <key>Scan</key> <dict> <key>Entries</key> <true/> <key>Legacy</key> <string>First</string> <key>Linux</key> <false/> <key>Tool</key> <true/> </dict> <key>ScreenResolution</key> <string>2560x1440</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>embedded</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <false/> </dict> <key>NvidiaSingle</key> <false/> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleIntelCPUPM</key> <false/> <key>AppleRTC</key> <false/> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>DellSMBIOSPatch</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>KernelLapic</key> <false/> <key>KernelPm</key> <false/> <key>KernelXCPM</key> <false/> <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable TRIM for SSD</string> <key>Disabled</key> <true/> <key>Find</key> <data> AEFQUExFIFNTRAA= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>com.apple.iokit.IOAHCIBlockStorage</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA= </data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>BooterConfig</key> <string>0x28</string> <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x03</string> <key>ROM</key> <data> lN6AflFi </data> </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>BiosReleaseDate</key> <string>09/03/2013</string> <key>BiosVendor</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>BiosVersion</key> <string>IM142.88Z.0118.B00.1309031249</string> <key>Board-ID</key> <string>Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61</string> <key>BoardManufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>BoardType</key> <integer>10</integer> <key>ChassisAssetTag</key> <string>iMac-Aluminum</string> <key>ChassisManufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>ChassisType</key> <string>13</string> <key>Family</key> <string>iMac</string> <key>Manufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>Mobile</key> <false/> <key>ProductName</key> <string>iMac14,2</string> <key>SerialNumber</key> <string>C02MDTCIFLHH</string> <key>Trust</key> <false/> <key>Version</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>CustomUUID</key> <string>9402DE03-8004-7E05-5106-620700080009</string> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> <key>NvidiaWeb</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/331036-i5-8600kz370m-d3h-with-a-gtx10606gb-troubles/#findComment-2557583 Share on other sites More sharing options...

YoYelloW Posted December 28, 2017 Author Share Posted December 28, 2017 ID 1 was used. audio over DP works, but is called HDMI. and there are 4 digital-out HDMI channels. YoYelloW Posted December 28, 2017 Author Share Posted December 28, 2017 Thank you Maldon for the work you put into this. i have changed my Audio to the previous setup, and this works fine (with hdmi/DP audio) For now i have fixed the sleep/wake issue by powering off and on my monitor. YoYelloW Posted December 29, 2017 Author Share Posted December 29, 2017 With this new dsdt everything seems to work apart from the wake issue that is related to the gfx card. one thing i noticed is that i get around 22k score in geekbench, which seems a tad low for this CPU... can this be anything setting related? attached is the clover folder and ioreg dump. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/331036-i5-8600kz370m-d3h-with-a-gtx10606gb-troubles/#findComment-2558036 Share on other sites More sharing options...
