Thanks for the info Shanee, I used cloverconfigurator and check nvda_drv=1 but it doesn't matter whether I use OSX default drivers or web drivers, the HDMI sound is not listed under Preferences/Sound/Output

I am attaching the system display info in case it might help. (The display is scaled to 720p because I have it connected to a TV as well. Turn it back to 1080p when using the monitor alone)

nvda_drv doesn't work on 10.13 If you have the web drivers installed check NvidiaWeb in the config. It's under System Parameters in Clover Configurator. If they weren't actually enabled that may sort it. The only difference I can see between our cards is I have the Gigabyte 2GB model.

I check NvidiaWeb when I wanto to use the web drivers, funny, this card is also Gigabyte so the only difference would be the RAM. However, I never got the HDMI out. I wonder if it is related to the ALC889 codec or maybe because during installation I had a geforce 8600gt but the card wouldn't fit my microATX case so I replaced it with the 710 which has low profile brackets.

cloverALC is onboard Realtek audio only.

See AppleHDA HDMI Audio - HDMI Audio, try cloverHDMI

I tried clover HDMI, it creates a patch under ACPI but it still won't load the HDMI sound. I am attaching some screenshots about the device information in case it helps.

Thanks man, while experimenting I manage to screw up all my install. I will give it a try after I´m able to get the machine up and running. Will contact the support thread if I keep having problems.
