rollcage
I had Vista 5840 installed under version 1.1.1, but I'm after I downloaded rtm, I wanted to start over new. I restored the partition to a single volume using the Bootcamp Setup Assistant, then upgraded to 1.1.2. Now I can't seem to partition my disk. Before I was getting an error that I needed to repair the disk (did that), and now I'm getting this error: ''Your disk can not be partitioned because some files cannot be moved. Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format the disk as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again." Is there another way to fix this, I really don't want to have to reformat? Does anyone have a working download for Bootcamp 1.1.1 or lower, maybe they will work as I've never had a problem before. Thanks! Edit: Nevermind, I just decided to go with the reformat. Hopefully it will work after that...
Colonel
This error usually occurs when you have files that are several gigabytes. If you had moved them to a seperate hard disk then your should have been able to restore your disk fine.
