  1. Thank you! Here are newly generated files after adding your changes and patched DSDT. All USB 2.0 ports work. However, nothing connected to the USB 3.0 ports work. System Report recognizes when something is plugged but nothing mounts (see attachment).
  2. Got an install working on an ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 with an i5 2500K. Generated my own config.plist and used kexts specific for my system. Here's everything if you don't mind looking at it. Thanks.
  3. Man, haven't been on these forums in a while. Anyone try this on an ASRock Extreme4 Gen3? Thinking about giving Hackintosh another go.
  4. Thanks a lot for the guide, I'm looking into building a new hackintosh and this tutorial will help me a lot. Keep up the good work.
  5. My collection: 10.4.8 Jas 10.4.9 Uphuck 10.4.1 Deadmoo (first thing I ever tried, a few days after it was put out on the internet).
  6. Hot damn, nice job! Looks really nice, looks just like a Mac Pro! Also, I see you have the same desk as me Congratulations.

    Official Unofficial Cider Game thread

Anyone have the latest version of Cider to download? I want to try to port an oldie: Sim City 2000
  8. This page might help you: http://hardware4linux.info/system/2501/ You can find a lot of details about the hardware on your computer, might help with getting the correct drivers.

    ET quake wars

You could try porting it via Cider (look around these Mac Gaming fourms, tons of stuff on it). It's not guaranteed to work and the performance won't be great. The best thing is just to run it in Boot Camp until it comes out for Mac (Aspyr is working on it). http://www.macnn.com/articles/07/05/21/qua....coming.to.mac/
  10. Okay, I'll go with the GA-P35-DS4 rev.2.0. If it doesn't ship with BIOs F7, where can I download it? The Gigabyte website only lists BIOs F8 - F11? Thanks for the replies
  11. So pretty much any rev of the GA-P35-DS4 will work OK? The board seems like a nice one, it even supports 1333MHz FSB for future processor upgrades.
  12. Will this tutorial work with this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128064 It's the GA-P25-DS4, but it is the rev.2.0 version. Will that make a difference at all, or can I just install Leopard right away (via this tutorial)?
  13. I'm also looking into an ATX motherboard (was going to get a MicroATX but I changed the kind of case I want). I was originally going to get a Bad Axe, but I noticed it didn't support the 1333FSB I would like (for future upgrades)
  14. Yeah actually I might just get a dremel and carefully cut out the back (just enough to get a plate in there), I don't like the idea of soldering (I wouldn't know what I was doing). But, has anyone gotten the front I/O powers to work (and if so - how?). I'll probably use an ASROCK 1333 D667 motherboard.
  15. Hey, I think I have decided to go with ASROCK 1333 D667 motherboard. It's MicroATX (will fit OK in the PowerMac G5 case) and it's reported it works fine with EFI and OSx86 (just needs audio patching). Thanks for the help, now I need to go study on how to install the mobo in the case lol
