CyCLoBoT
I'm trying to do a direct update from Sierra. When I run the installer, it prompts for a restart and when it does, I don't see the option to boot into the installer in Clover. It's only showing Sierra disk and the recovery partitions. What could be causing the installer from not showing up? I am using the latest version of Clover (4220). How quickly is the installer supposed to configure when you run it from the Desktop? Mine runs through in couple of seconds and then prompts me to restart. Here's the installer log when I run the High Sierra installer: Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Hardware: iMac15,1 @ 4.00 GHz (x 8), 32768 MB RAM Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Running OS Build: Mac OS X 10.12.6 (16G29) Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: TMPDIR=/var/folders/_r/ssd6fc89437_y48csr8p5hh80000gn/T/ Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: __CF_USER_TEXT_ENCODING=0x1F5:0x0:0x52 Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: SHELL=/bin/bash Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: HOME=/Users/cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: Apple_PubSub_Socket_Render=/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.1SAufkAKGQ/Render Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.gLUC9AK4Ar/Listeners Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: LOGNAME=cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: XPC_SERVICE_NAME=com.apple.InstallAssistant.HighSierra.17364 Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: USER=cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: XPC_FLAGS=0x0 Sep 27 22:14:50 iMac osinstallersetupd[638]: OSISChunkedDownload loaded... critic81
Just wanted to report that sudo diskutil cs revert <UUID> fixed it for me. I'm now typing this from High Sierra! Thanks TheRacerMaster!
Guest ricoc90
Nice, TheRacerMaster. Thanks! I'm having this issue ever since HS DP1. What worked for me was creating a custom boot entry for the installer, but this is a better solution I suppose

TheRacerMaster
It looks like Clover r4225 should fix the missing installer entry (no need to disable CoreStorage).
CyCLoBoT
I ended up using the same revert command to get the installer working. Good to know that Clover will fix this going forward. Is there any disadvantage of disabling CoreStorage? If so, how do I enable it again?
daniyo
I’m still having the same issue despite updating to Clover r4228 and r4233. Fusion Drive makes me unable to disable CoreStorage. Vinicius P. Miranda
I also have the problem. I've cloned another partition for Fusion Drive and got into the HS, but Apple released an update on October 5th, and now I have the same problem. alenchev
I have solution for this problem. Start install. After first reboot you have "Boot macOS Installer" not show in Clover. Reboot to install flash (need cp, mkdir, rm skill) or to working system (install OS to flash or external disk). You must put files from com.apple.boot.* folder to other. Your Boot OS X disk must look like: Boot OS X |_com.apple.boot.* |_ Library -> Preferences -> SystemConfiguration -> com.apple.Boot.plist (key and sting about kernel cache in this plist must be deleted) |_ System -> Library -> PrelinkedKernels -> prelinkedkernel |_ usr -> standalone -> i386 -> EfiLoginUI -> Lucida13.efires, disk_passwordUI.efires, recoveryUI.efires, Lucida13White.efires, flag_picker.efires, recovery_user.efires, appleLogo.efires, guest_userUI.efires, sound.efires, battery.efires, loginui.efires, unknown_userUI.efires |_System |_Library -> CoreServices -> .disk_label, .disk_label_2x, .disk_label.contentDetails, .root_uuid, PlatformSupport.plist, SystemVersion.plist, boot.efi After do this - reboot. PS Same {censored} for update.
nabeelmoeen
I’m still having the same issue despite updating to Clover r4228 and r4233. Fusion Drive makes me unable to disable CoreStorage. Adding a drive in Clover Configurator > GUI doesn’t show up in Clover either... any ideas? hi Daniyo, were you able to resolve this? I'm facing the same issue, I have tried creating the USB installer using the createinstallmedia command and also Pandora's box. and also tried adding the custom boot option in config.plist -> GUI. none of these solutions have worked for me, I am unable to see the High Sierra installation volume on boot.
