  1. Try using NvidiaGraphicsFixup and Lilu kext. Place both of these kexts in the /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other folder. The former kext helps with getting rid of black screen once you reach the login screen.
  2. APFS.efi without verbose boot

To apply this patch, do I open the APFS.efi file in Hex editor and do a find and replace?
  3. I ended up using the same revert command to get the installer working. Good to know that Clover will fix this going forward. Is there any disadvantage of disabling CoreStorage? If so, how do I enable it again?
  4. I'm trying to do a direct update from Sierra. When I run the installer, it prompts for a restart and when it does, I don't see the option to boot into the installer in Clover. It's only showing Sierra disk and the recovery partitions. What could be causing the installer from not showing up? I am using the latest version of Clover (4220). How quickly is the installer supposed to configure when you run it from the Desktop? Mine runs through in couple of seconds and then prompts me to restart. Here's the installer log when I run the High Sierra installer: Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Hardware: iMac15,1 @ 4.00 GHz (x 8), 32768 MB RAM Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Running OS Build: Mac OS X 10.12.6 (16G29) Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: TMPDIR=/var/folders/_r/ssd6fc89437_y48csr8p5hh80000gn/T/ Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: __CF_USER_TEXT_ENCODING=0x1F5:0x0:0x52 Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: SHELL=/bin/bash Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: HOME=/Users/cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: Apple_PubSub_Socket_Render=/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.1SAufkAKGQ/Render Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.gLUC9AK4Ar/Listeners Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: LOGNAME=cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: XPC_SERVICE_NAME=com.apple.InstallAssistant.HighSierra.17364 Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: USER=cyclobot Sep 27 22:14:49 iMac InstallAssistant[635]: Env: XPC_FLAGS=0x0 Sep 27 22:14:50 iMac osinstallersetupd[638]: OSISChunkedDownload loaded... 5. Gigabyte X58A-UD3R v2 and Sierra

Thanks very much for the files. I will try upgrading again to Sierra again.
  6. Is anyone here running Sierra on the said motherboard without any issues? I'm trying to install Sierra on an old PC I have was running El Capitan on. El Capitan was working perfectly fine but since I've installed Sierra, a lot of things have stopped working. I can't get Restart to work (It hangs when I try to restart), USB ports stopped working after few minutes, can't get audio to work either. I pretty much copied everything I had in the Clover folder when I was running El Capitan. If someone has Sierra working, could you post your config.plist file so I can see what options you have enabled?
  7. I don't mind trying things but every guide that I have looked at for a 9 series motherboard, no one has mentioned anything about or used a DSDT file. I was under the impressions that with the UEFI BIOS and config.plist file, a DSDT file is no longer required. I have extracted a raw DSDT file using F4 function through Clover boot loader. I will try to patch USB fixes through there and see what happens. Right now, I have USB ports working using couple of kexts released by Rehabman.
  8. No news I'm afraid. Issue still persists. I have been reading up on this for a while now and it seems that there is an issue with memory corruption on Gigabyte motherboards. I have tried many things and nothing has worked so far. I have tested RAM and thee are no issues with it. I am soon going to switch to an Asus motherboard as people have had great success with it. Will probably get Z97M-Plus. With my motherboard, a DSDT file is not required. I just updated the specs in my signature. I had specs for a really old system.
  9. Has anyone come across these errors when you resume your computer from sleep? I have noticed that this happens after few sleep cycles. Specs: GA-Z97MX Gaming 5 Mobo i7 4790k CPU 32GB 2133MHz RAM (Profile 1 in XMP) GeForce 960 GTX 4GB I get the following errors: Anonymous UUID: # Sat Jan 30 23:48:19 2016 *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 10. PCI Config Error with Clover

I have included a screenshot of where the installation is getting stuck at. I am using a patched DSDT that was made for my motherboard.
  11. I am trying to install Yosemite using Clover on my system. I have a X858a-UD3R rev 2.0 motherboard. I have created the USB installer with Clover and when I try to boot from it, the installation is getting stuck at PCI Configuration Begin. i have tried putting in all the flags (2000, 3000 etc.) in the Config.plist but nothing seems to work. I am able to use Yosemite just find using Chimera 4.0 but am trying to install using Clover to see if I can fix the iMessage problem. Any idea on what could be causing this?
  12. Hi blackosx, I was wondering if you are using the v0.8 of Cartri's BIOS? If so, do you still need to have the DSDT file and also what kexts are/aren't needed anymore? According to the manual that comes with the BIOS, it states that DSDT file is not needed.
  13. Yes I'm using the DSDT file which blackosx provided a while back. Everything is working flawlessly and this printer issue is a minor thing but it would be great if I can manage to fix it.
  14. The only other USB devices I have are the Apple keyboard and regular cordless USB mouse and they both function correctly after waking up.
  15. You know I don't know. I never used to put my computer to sleep before but now that I started doing it (~ 3 weeks or so), the issue has persisted. I will try switching the USB ports and see if it works.
