Mystroe
Can anyone confirm what support is like in Sierra for X99 Is power management/speed step working well? Is there a definitive method for getting speed step working? Presently I'm running a stable rig on El Capitan and wondering if it is worth upgrading. Many thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324548-sierra-support-for-x99-haswell-e/ Share on other sites

Many thanks Hi there, I have a 5960x overclocked to 4.6 and memory on xmp 1 with no problems at all. Power management and speedstep are great. I found Sierra an easier hack than El Cap on X99 to be honest. I followed the El cap speed step tutorials on this site, eg: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309717-haswell-e-5820k-5930k-installation-guide-with-full-speedstep-working/page-19 Hope this helps. High Sierra is even better as long as you have the right GPU.
