Korrupted
I don't really have any problems with this card, but it shows this ugly OEM text on boot, which I'll screencap in a few minutes. Is there any way of disabling this text? It just adds unnecessary boot time to my iHack, and it's not like I'm going to randomly forget which card I have. REVENGE
I have never heard of a video card displaying OEM text on boot. Yes, please screencap.

Wallstreet
I suggest replacing your 7900GS with a 7900GT. They don't do that at POST.
mcfresh
hm, maybe thats not related to the graphics card itself, but to the BIOS of your pc reading the GPUs BIOS. I dont think that a graphics card itself is able to influence the boot process. But i may be wrong here. Its just that i think its kinda unusual. HeroinHero
my 7600GS did that when i first installed it.. after that it seems that after restarting, my monitor did not even refresh quick enough to display that screen before it got to the POST.. seems normal to me.. edit.. I have a Asus board with phoenix bios
Brokencomp.com
Thats part of the BIOS during post. I have had 4 motherboards (2 Asus, 1 MSI, and 1 Gigabyte) of personal use (not to mention the ump-teen builds i have done) and they ALL do it. It maybe that your noticing recently, but as far as i know that the first test in the POST is to find the external video card, if applicable. The on-board video wont do this, i don't think. consolation
I think all cards have to do that, the question is wether the writing disappears before the monitor is able to display it.
elfdood
download a free program called "Nibitor" - this is a bios editor for nvidia cards, u could change the message to something a little more appealing Edited February 22, 2007 by elfdood
aqua-mac
My 7900 GS 256 displays this information, however my 7800 GTX 256 does not and also 7900 GTX 512 does not. However the 512 will not boot with Natit installed yet.
sg
that message is in your cards firmware, only way to remove it is it find a modified firmware online or try to edit it yourself.
