Pitr-
If creatives makes drivers for Intel-based Mac:s there should be no problem running this usb-based X-Fi soundcard on our hackintosh:es. And we can only hope that it will be possible to use the same drivers for pci-based X-fi-cards

success2be
How is the sound quality on XMod? I picked up a Sound Blaster Live 24bit external SB0490 from the local circuit city today and I hear a lot of crackling when playing movies through quicktime or VLC. I don't get crackling when playing through iTunes though. If you guys can let me know if the XMod outputs clean sound, then I'll pick it up soon after I return my SB0490
