salax
I was wondering if there is an easier way to get a dual boot setup than using acronis or other such software. I have tried to use GAG but after installing OS X as a second OS i get a HFS partition error message... Thegn
Also, if you can have OSX and XP on different drives, it's easy to switch wich drive to boot from BIOS. Then you don't have to bother with bootloaders. leodm
this is very very easy, but you might need to install osx/xp on same disk. 1. install xp 2. install osx(and osx partition is active atm). 3. reboot, press F8 and select windows partition 4. in windows, launch "diskmgmt.msc" and set windows partition as active 5. get a file named "chain0", you can find it on OSX installation CD and put it to c:\, add a line in your boot.ini c:\chain0="Mac OSX86" thats all...the acronis boot manager doesnt work properly here and I dont like putting sth. I know little on the MBR, and, I dont like darwin's bootload since it requires hitting F8 during bootup, while my motherboard use F8 to select boot disk as well... Unit seems to be primary and active as partition magic says . Any solution?
