It's a known issue with the voodoops2 driver.

 

No fix yet as of writing this.

 

A temporary workaround is replacing the prefpane with the el capitan version, which works but settings are not preserved across reboots.

today I tried installing the new MacOS Sierra 10.12 , but , when tried to adjust the setting of the Trackpad I found it empty !!

 

(the attached picture will show the exact problem)

 

what could be the solution for this ?

And here is a script to activate the touchpad upon start/reboot. First install the ioio from rehabmans repo https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-ioio/downloads

Put these two files in /library/LaunchAgents and make it excitable  sudo chmod +x /Library/LaunchAgents/touchpad

Restart.
