  1. BIOS update 1.6.2 is live on the Dell site. Mac boot hung after the upgrade, but booted fine after a 2nd reboot.
  2. I'm experiencing the same behaviour as KNNSpeed with the charger unplug frequency drops. Did you use the Kext-based frequency injection or the SSDT based injection? Curious to know if you each did it differently, and that's what's causing the different behaviour. EDIT: Power Gadget shows the same 0.8GHz drop when unplugging the charger even without CPUFriend injecting any data, so perhaps this is built into the processor and CPUFriend is not doing anything? I will back up X86PlatformPlugin.kext and run the frequency vectors edit with Pike's script. EDIT2: I figured my Lilu kext might not be compatible with the current version of CPUFriend so I updated - system wouldn't boot. Had to roll back to the June 6th release. Just FYI. // Updating all my plugins resolved this issue. Still not idling below 1.3GHz with the CPUFriend kext injection.
  3. Sierra up and running 100% on my end. Can't thank you enough for your guide. -N
  4. Hey all, Thanks for the guide, KNNSpeed! My XPS should be arriving tomorrow, and I wanted to know how High Sierra testing is going, or if it is at all. I'm not sure if I still have a Sierra installer downloaded somewhere, especially since Apple's removed its download from the App Store. Am I able to install High Sierra with the files provided? Or am I diving into this head first? Thanks for your assistance.

    Dual Monitors and Pascal

If anyone is still dealing with this issue as I am, my solution was to boot with just one monitor powered up. I'm running a GTX 1080 Turbo with three monitors, one DVI, one HDMI, and one DP. If I boot with JUST the DVI monitor powered up, I get a good boot every time. Hope this helps someone.

    'Blank' Trackpad Setting in Sierra

Rehabman suggests copying the Trackpad preference pane from 10.11 as a temporary workaround.

    Patched Framebuffer Repository

    [pre-releases] macOS Sierra

Having no trouble with my two 660s under DP1 or 2, but using MacPro6,1 SMBIOS w/ patched AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext.

Thanks a million. Works great for me. Also, how's X99 power management? I'm booted without XMCP as it causes a panic, but I think I have NullCPUPM injected and am getting stepping and a Geekbench score like none other... 21K easily, whereas El Cap struggled to ever give me 19K... http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/7126535

bcm94352z patch from El Cap not working anymore, I can attempt to boot the disk in a machine with 94352HMB later today and see if it works... It appears that Broadcom Patch Ram 2 still enabled bluetooth, though.

Can you all share your config.plist for X99? I assume using NullCPUPM as XCPM isn't working correctly? How about VoodooTSync, or is that outdated now? Thanks!

    [pre-releases] macOS Sierra

Are you using -xcpm for PowerManagement? My 5820K is panicking from the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. EDIT: Oh, you answered this question as I was creating the post.

OS X El Capitan Test Thread

Anyone have any luck with the X99 platform? Kernel patch still necessary?
  14. Absolutely incredible. I've done as described with the same results on my X99-UD4 and 5820K. What a world of a difference.
  15. Interesting. I'm still receiving the error, even with F11 BIOS and the latest version of Clover. Can't get it to do much at all. I'll try using the fix and see if that helps at all. Also interestingly, once I boot into Clover, I basically lose all control over the BIOS. Keyboard spams like Delete and F12 become unresponsive, and it just boots my Windows drive (#1 in boot priority). Have to reset the BIOS in order to do much of anything. Any ideas? Thanks.
