iamtheonlyone4ever
the all in one lan package comes in a distro unless you install the package in your installation separately , i can't tell you what kext to uninstall because i don't which kext is included in the package, for that you will have to upload the pkg here for me to extract it , you have to put the package inside a folder then create a zip, you won't be able to upload the package here if you don't do that because of the package extension .pkg , even if you put the package in a zip you have to put the package inside a folder then create the zip. you can go to the bios and temporary disable your lan so that way you system boots because no kext is going to load, after you upload the package then i can tell you which files you need to delete, and after you delete those files then you can re enable your lan in the bios. i can't tell you terminal commands because i don't know the kext name so you have to disable your lan then upload the package, if by any chance you know your lan device id or model that it'll be great to know in order for me to help you better Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315127-installed-wrong-kexts/#findComment-2276860 Share on other sites

iamtheonlyone4ever
artur_pt i know what he is talking about, there are some distros that have an all in 1 lan and an all in 1 audio, i know distros are not supported here that's why i asked him if he downloaded the package separately because in some web page they have the packages to download them separately, in case the person is looking for a lan kext and they don't know their device id , so all that package does is install a bunch of kext that some times is not the right kext and most of the time it crash the system because it tries to load a kext that is close to one the person have but not the right one, sometimes they re lucky and the right kext is in there but that is and old package that includes old version of the kext, is much better to download the newer version of the kext but then again if the person doesn't know about device id then they have to use that package and pray that it works. i don't use distros , i make my own vanilla images and i don't even use usb creators, i create my own personal images manually, but i know about this because i have friends that use those distros because they don't know how to make their own images. and they don't know too much about device id you and me we both know that a vanilla install will eat a distro alive in performance and it way more secure to do the images ourself rather than relies in some else job. who knows what's in there, probably a backdoor, they even have an administrator account already setup when you install the system not cool at all right but you do have a cool picture of jack sparrow and with all dew respect just like you always say good hack Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315127-installed-wrong-kexts/#findComment-2276962 Share on other sites

iamtheonlyone4ever
sorry for the late reply i was very busy your board uses this lan Realtek® 8111E which is very common here it is if you are using enoch boot loader install the package that is in enoch folder if you are using clover, simply use te kext that is in clover folder and put that kext in clover-kexts folder inside your os number version that is the latest version, if you have any trouble you can also try the ones from here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/88-realtekrtl8111-binary/ Latest.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315127-installed-wrong-kexts/#findComment-2278356 Share on other sites
