Upgrading to Sierra GM from El Cap. Can't boot? (-v screenshot inside)

Hey guys

I am just installing sierra, was going about it as I have done the El Capitan updates assuming it would be similar. Generally just update then boot nv_disable and then install webdrivers.

Issue is that booting nv_disable still won't load the OS, -v hangs as shown below...

Any ideas on potential fixes for this? Cheers

Edit;

Seems after 6 tries it booted but hasn't even installed Sierra which is odd...ill give it another go and see if it actually does the upgrade. Odd I need to boot like 8 times exactly the same for it to actually work!

I'm having an issue where upgrading via the downloaded App Store image doesn't actually do anything, it prompts a restart and then takes me back to desktop. Do I have to make a USB?

latest clover.

It installed and boots now, though seems i need to add -v every time and keep doing it until it loads.

Having major problems getting the 980ti to work but that seems universal for everyone

im having further issue, it seems that my mac will only boot when i use -v as the bootflag, but i thought -v just displayed the startup list?

So it doesnt matter if i have nv_disabled or the driver=1 enabled, as if i dont have -v it goes black and restarts the pc, -v allows it to boot to desktop.

So any ideas what would be the cause of consistent need for -v regardless of nvidia settings?

-v is verbose mode :whistle:

Lol , just getting the old spinning ball when upgrading from El Cap

If you can look the "beach ball" OSX is almost loaded, maybe you have to wait a long?
