avenger Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 i tried to install mac 10.4.7 on my sata disk.......but when i go to disk utility it seems that the installation is not recognizing my hard disk at all......... when i plugged in my 1 gb usb pendrive it immediately recognized......where am i doing the mistake????? i tried to reburn and boot .....but the same problem. i searched the forum and found that some are having the same problem .....but could not find any answer.... did anyone have any idea..... to remind.....when i created a disk in scsi other than ide (which it said recommended ......i just want to see whwther there is problem here) in vmware it even did'nt recognized it....... for ide disk it is fine is there any way to solve this???? thanx in advance sorry for my english TO REMIND IT DOES EVEN SHOW THE HARD DISK TO FORMAT IN DISK UTILITY Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If your motherboard has a different SATA controller chip, then you probably cannot use SATA with OSX. In that case, use a PATA/ATA/IDE drive.
