Hello

I have everything working except USB 3.0. It does work sometimes, sometimes it stops during copying, sometimes HDDs dont mount etc...

USB 2.0 ports work always.

I read a lot into this already

BUT

I have not "enough" entries to make the steps as describe in that topic!

Can you help me fix my USB ports, so they all work and dont corrupt data files/stop copying?

Thank you

Unfortunately nothing changed, got the exact same things now in my EFI folder! USB 3.0 still working half time...

posted the wrong link before, here is the right one

I tested every port and plunged in every hard disk I had at the same time and there are several internal hard disks as well.

The only problem I encounter was when I leave the system idle after few minutes finder freezes so I disables "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" in energy saver.

After that everything looks normal.

It's ok I need this info because there are some settings here which are no longer needed in 10.11.4 and newer I just wanted to make sure that I don't mess things up for you.

And just to make sure is XHCI is enabled in BIOS.

Fingers crossed :D

Hope it solves the problem.

config.plist.zip

Soooooooo!

Still doesnt work :(

BUT - very interesting. Before my USB speed was (external raid) about 300MB/s, now it is only 100MB/s.

It worked for 40GB of copying now instead of 5-6 as before but...not really better :(

Strange world

EDIT: It seems that all other USB devices work (normal HDDs) except this RAID (just an IcyDock 2 disk enclosure with USB 3.0) AND an SSD in an external SSD reader. Otherwise everything seems to work.

So I tried everything now. Even if only one is connected - this SSD will not be recognized (instantly on macbook pro) and the Dual-Disk-"Raid" gets recognized most of the time but stops responding in finder after a few gigs. It starts with 300MB/sec and suddenly stops now.

The rest works. ---?

I use you config.plist, BIOS settings triple-checked...no idea!

and this remedy seems extremely complicated http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-11-0-10-11-3-skylake-starter-guide.179221/(scroll down to usb), I dont even get it!
