Dajjal
Greets to all Since making the switch to clover i can't seem to get speedstep to work in Yosemite as it should or at least how it worked with chameleon in 10.6 - 10.9.In the bios i have everything set manually and the cpu goes from 1.6Ghz - 2.93 Ghz but with clover in Yosemite it's stuck at 2.93Ghz.Oddly enough i made a test HD with El Capitan and it does throttle down to 1.6 - 2.93 so I'm guessing summ is corrupted in Yosemite or i'm missing sum in the clover config but i can't seem to figure it out so any help is much appreciated.I have tried a few different setting but no success.... 1. <key>DropOem</key> <false/> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> With DropOem set to false the cpu stays @ 2.93Ghz 2. <key>DropOem</key> <true/> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> With the DropOem set to true the cpu stays @ 2.79Ghz Both have <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>DMAR</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>Cpu0Ist</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>CpuPm</string> </dict> I have read that it should be either or but not Both so i have gone back to DropOem>false with the DropTables.I will attach my DSDT and config file for those willing to take a look to see if maybe sum is messed up with my DSDT.......Bless config(X58A-UD5:930:4870).plist.zip DSDT(X58A-UD5:930:4870).aml.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312242-help-getting-speedstep-working-x58930-clover/ Share on other sites

Dajjal
Thanks for your reply.Well first off i have the Voltage manually set an thus the voltage goes between 0.96v - 0.98v cause my 930 runs stable at this.I'm guessing since i don't use DVID in the bios is why i only get 2 states? which i don't really mind.I don't know how to set the Offset +/- so that the voltage never goes below 0.96v and above 1.00v.If anyone can help with this that will be great.Oddly enough i made a test HD with a clean 10.10 and 10.11 and i do get the 2 states of 1.6ghz/2.93ghz so it seems it's either a process that is constantly running causing it to stay @ 2.93 or summ just is corrupted.Guess i'll have to do a fresh install and one by one install apps to see.......Bless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312242-help-getting-speedstep-working-x58930-clover/#findComment-2239031 Share on other sites
