Hi Guys,

I'm trying to install El Capitan on the following system:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7 2600
  • Motherboard: Asus P8H77-M
  • Storage: 120GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD / 500GB Seagate 7200RPM HDD
  • Wireless: Asus PCE-AC66 PCI-E Wireless Card
  • Graphics: Asus GTX 660 Ti DCII OC Edition

I've managed to get graphics working okay previously, as well as WiFi, to some extent. My main problem is with the motherboard - I couldn't get USB 3 to work, or sleep, or speedstep, all features that I was under the impression DSDT patches and/or BIOS patches (both things I'm happy with doing if someone could help a little... please!)

I'm not keen on using a patch that disables power management entirely, I'd rather use one that adds support, if that's possible.

I only use Windows for the odd game when I'm not working, so transitioning to Mac OS X, with some degree of stability, is what I'm looking to do.

Thank you in advance ;)

Follow my guide maybe it work.  But don't use my setting for Boot-->Arguement, graphic card and audio kext.  I think there's a patch for your board audio.

Make sure you set your bios to how i set it.

I have a P8H77M-Pro with an i7 3770 and MSI GTX660TI so more or less the same setup without the CPU.

I have everything working and USB3 is working too. I shared my Clover EFI content for you.

Do you know of any major differences between the pro and non-pro versions of the board?
