grandosegood Posted November 11, 2015 Share Posted November 11, 2015 hey all, i'm gonna be using clover's kextstopatch on the appleusbxhci.kext to try and get my usb 3.0 working (ga-x79s-ud5-wifi bios f4) usb chipsets vl801 and fl1009 my question was, when utlizing the hotpatches as outlined here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/150-patched-appleusbxhci/?st=30#commentsStart do i need to move appleusbxhci into the efi/clover/kexts/10.9 folder or do i just leave it at system/library/extensions. also, i will be uzing this patch with clover configurator. grandosegood Posted November 18, 2015 Author Share Posted November 18, 2015 update - i realized kexts should only be placed in efi/clover/10.x if you have kext injection enabled. otherwise, put your patch in clover via clover configurator and repair permissions, then rebuild cache, then reboot while using UseKernelCache=Yes. and your set!
