  1. hey folks, I have a Gigabyte board as well, GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI with i7-3930k. I get the AppleACPIFamily panic, despite having tried the 'fix headers' option and dropping MATS instead of DMAR. Can anyone share any files to help me boot up the installer? I can't even complete the installation. I've attached my EFI. Thanks! EFI.zip

    AppleALC — dynamic AppleHDA patching

Thanks for your help. I was referring to toleda's way of patching X99 ALC 1150 audio. His SSDTs cause a conflict with Toleda's SSDTs, so I was hoping the HDEF to HDAS patch would work, even though I do not use a custom DSDT, only custom SSDTs
  4. Sierra Asus X99-A_USB_3_1 problem report grandosegood.zip Hey all, I am trying to update my SSDT so that it renames AZLA to HDEF. Here is my link that contains the SSDT from rampagedev and the AZLA to HDEF SSDT from toleda. I want to merge the toleda one into the rampagedev one. I am trying to get AppleHDA to work but none of the usual suspects are working. FYI, I don't have a customized DSDT, only customized SSDTs. Thanks again.

No sound coming from Asus X99-a/USB 3.1

dont those kexts require a DSDT patch in clover?
  7. Hi everyone, I have built X79 hackintoshes for years, but have been struggling lately with getting audio to work on the following setup i7-6800k _ Asus X99-A/USB 3.1 bios 3701 _ EVGA GTX 1070 i followed rampagedev's guide and was able to get the os successfully loaded. my main problems area udio...my steps thus far: i attempted to install cloveralc and got the following: Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem Then, i was advised by toleda to use this SSDT: https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection/blob/master/ssdt_hdef/ssdt_hdef-1-x99-alza.zip Because I have an x99 that uses ALC1150, i was told i needed that SSDT, along with a kexttopatches edit for x99 ALC1150 as indicated in toleda's guide. this allowed the script to complete successfully, audio devices appeared in sound system preferences, but no sound came out... toleda then informed me that the SSDT that bundled with rampagedev's guide was causing a conflict. i can't remove that SSDT because it provides motherboard support. i'm using voodoohda for now, which does give audio, but i'd rather be using applehda if possible. What should I do? does anyone know how to edit SSDTs or help me merge some changes from one to another? I have attached the SSDTs, ioreg, and clover f4 dump (dsdt.aml). basically, i'm trying to get applehda working, but am stuck. IOREG, clover f4 dump, and SSDTs are here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzyteRfaZsayMUhBVFRocHRQSG8/view?usp=sharing

row of plus signs after X99 legacy installation.

update: the issue was to remake the usb, noting rampagedev's guide, which calls for legacy install. i also used OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and HFSPlus-64.efi in my clover folder, which can be found on step 1 of his X99 dmg. I removed vboxhfs.efi and left everything else, including the emuvariable that was selected during clover install.
  10. hey everyone, i installed sierra for x99 based on rampagedev's guide. to try and get usb 3.0 working, i have installed USBInjectAll.kext and XHCI-x99-injector.kext. I also added the 15 port to 26 port limit patch for AppleUSBXHCIPCI in clover. However, no USB3 port is working properly. What else should I do?
  11. hi there, did you use the legacy install method for your asus x99-a? or dud you use UEFI? i believe rampagedev recommends legacy method for x99, so wanted to confirm

row of plus signs after X99 legacy installation.

i thought x99 does not support power management? and this is a i7-6800k btw.
  13. were you able to get your OS installed? I missed a step to the rampagedev guide, and was able to get it installed one i fixed my mistake. however, at first boot without the installation usb and everything supposedly properly installed, i get the plus signs.
