Mrengles
Hello Everyone I've started having random shutdowns (mostly immediate after login) of my hackintosh after updating to OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan on my ASRock Z77 Professional-M. (The complete build description is below in my signature if your interested.) Does anyone else have or heard of this problem? The cause still needs to be determinied on my end. Console.app is showing no signs of errors or kernel panics that would help diagnose this issue. This very well could be a hardware failure, that I'm not aware of yet. Please chime in if your having a similar experience with El Capitan. Thank you. Gratitude, Robert aka Mrengles Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309172-el-capitan-random-shutdowns/ Share on other sites
golden419
If it is a random restart you might as well check your eternet kext. It happened to me and I deleted the eternet kext and installed the appropriate one and it stoped.. Mrengles
Thanks golden419, it's definitely a shutdown and I'm using the stock Broadcom apple Ethernet driver. C.Frio
Hi... I have one as rock z77 pro4,but with an g210..and no issues like you got..I use clover I use voodooHDA, put a compatible kext for the on board LAN..but I only use wifi..with appropriated kexts, if the issue is not the gtx670..maybe need nvidiadriver.... but,try boot on safe mode, and/or remove the gtx670 and put the video at MB display connector..just to see if you pass login... just to see if the issue is the gtx. p.s. did you read this? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306429-guide-msi-h81m-motherboards-basics-of-a-computer-build-budget-hackintosh-builds-uefi-dualboot-os-x-el-capitan-wip/ seam gtx 670 is OOB c.frio Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309172-el-capitan-random-shutdowns/#findComment-2184935 Share on other sites
Mrengles
@ C.Frio I should have be a little more Clear... OS X El Capitan 10.11.0 was working perfect. My machine has been up and running for the past couple days now that i've disabled computer sleep and unchecked Reopen windows when logging back in. I can pretty much eliminate it being hardware related now that i've done/passed all my HW checks. I don't know how either of these settings would prevent a random system crash that causes a shutdown right after login? I'll post back if I find a real solution. In the mean time I'm going to try OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 Public Beta 2. Mrengles
This issue has been fixed with a new DSDT. My patch for this motherboard can be found here: https://github.com/mrengles/ASRock-Fatal1ty-Z77-Professional-M-Hackintosh-DSDT Enjoy and good luck! verleihnix
Hi, I have same issue with my HTPC Hack. I think it has relations to that console message: CommCenter[333]: Telling CSI to go low power. I found only iPhone related stuff on google. First I used Macmini7,1 and imac14,1 and it happend annoying offen. Now, with Macmini6,2 it happened only once, keep fingers crossed. Mrengles
You might also want to try deleting your network and Wi-FI preference plist files in /Library/preferences/SystemConfiguration/ Delete the files below, and restart your Hackintosh. com.apple.airport.preferences.plist com.apple.airport.preferences.plist-new com.apple.network.eapolclient.configuration.plist NetworkInterfaces.plist preferences.plist and anything else network related that might be in that same folder. Good luck! Rober aka Mrengles Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309172-el-capitan-random-shutdowns/#findComment-2187003 Share on other sites
