Is there a way to disable the Internal Speaker of my Mac Pro when using XP under Bootcamp?

I have been searching the net for quite a while now (a week or so) and have found many solutions for shutting off the internal speaker on the Macbook Pro and the Mac Mini but nothing for the Mac Pro. If any of you know where I should go, please point me in the right direction. If there is no direction to point me to,..I'll be sad but hopefuly someone out there knows of a solution. Thanks

I haven't heard of a way, probably because it came out just 2 1/2 months ago.

P.S. Why did you post this topic in "boot camp?"

Would there have been a better place for me to post it?...I figured that since Windows XP is running under bootcamp, other bootcamp users may know the solution to this problem.

I have this issue also with my Mac Pro. I will try and put some time into finding a solution.

Edit : So I found a way to fix the sound so it comes out of the RealTek HD Audio output ( analog audio out jack ) .

What I did was I looked at the back of the Mac Pro where the Digital Audio out is. The Digital Audio was lit up red so I covered the Digital out with my finger and right then ..... the surround sound system picked up iTunes and I have sound in xp working properly. Tested with reboots and sound still is working properly.

This does not disable the internal speaker.

This worked for me, good luck.

Just plug some headphones in to the front port of your Mac Pro. The sound will still come out of the analogue audio port at the back, so you will still be able to her the sound through your speakers. I am using the most recent version of the Realtek drivers, downloaded from the Realtek web site (I couldn't get any sound from the back audio port at all using the drivers that came with Boot Camp).

The sound will come out of the headphones as well, so an even better idea would be to plug a 3.5mm (1/8th inch) connector in the front instead. I haven't tried this myself, but there's no reason why it shouldn't work.
