i have tested a few brands the best by far is the asus brand ,my core2 6600 setup correctly is faster then the macpro 2.66 xeon ,i built a core2 6700 the other day for a friend 15% oc,it was faster then the macpro 3ghz xeon,[refer xbench]

Vaderd everyjting working? your HDs arent crwalin like other 960 ones?

Not the best, especially the "Uncached Write", but it's not like it really bothers me as the sys feels very responsive. Of course if there is a way to get better performance i'm open to it! ;)

Got everything working with the Asus P5B Deluxe! You need a SATA DVD or IDE/USB-converter to install though.

 

Great news. I am Planning to build the same setup ... A couple of questions:

 

1) Are both cores working w SSE3 under activity monitor ?

2) Have you tried using a regular IDE hard drive rather than SATA ?

3) I think that I saw a post by you elsewhere saying that you had this working with the new Semthex kernel ...?
