RehabMan
OMG! why bother with a Injector if your gonna do something dum like use a kext installer to put it in SLE lol There is nothing wrong with installing kexts to /S/L/E. wegface
There is nothing wrong with installing kexts to /S/L/E. I beg to differ for El Capitan. 3rd part kexts are not supposed to go there, apple has said this for long time. And one of the points of this guide was to leave SLE vanilla. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308385-1011-full-speed-usb-z97m-plus/#findComment-2172738 Share on other sites
RehabMan
did not say there was, but why bother with an injector which is ment to prevent the use of SLE? Injectors are used to keep from modifying native kexts. It matters very little whether you install to /S/L/E, /L/E, or Clover/kexts. I like to install to /S/L/E or /L/E as it is "more native" (kexts are in kernel cache). 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308385-1011-full-speed-usb-z97m-plus/#findComment-2172749 Share on other sites

The problem is to modify a native kext in that folder. With a injector, the contents of the folder remains intact. Just confirming that all four rear and two front ports are working at 3.0. ASUS Z97M-PLUS What exactly did you do in order for your 4 ports in back to work? Would you be able to supply the file you put in SLE? You might be the answer to all my problems this past week! wegface
Why do this. The injector goes to clover folder, as per the guides instructions. no different results will happen by installing it except missing the whole point of my guide. terrible advice imo 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308385-1011-full-speed-usb-z97m-plus/#findComment-2172857 Share on other sites
