macinsane
Hey everyone, wouldn't it be a good idea (especially for beginners), if we collect compatible mainboards in a special thread (like this )? What to look for: Boards that have no USB issues OOB or need a fix. But in the end just work. Why? People (like me) tried every possible solution or guide offered around the net without success. I would (and I'm pretty sure others would too) consider switching my setup, if I knew for sure, that a particular board would just work. There are people in different forums saying their motherboards ran OOB. macinsane
I haven't completely lost my hope, that someday there will be a general fix. But for the time being... Please add your motherboard here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308286-usb-issue-el-capitan-compatible-motherboards-where-are-they/#findComment-2171673 Share on other sites
RenegadePC
USB controllers to look for = Intel only. Motherboards tested: --------------------------------------------- 1, ASUS H81M-K = is working fully, no fix needed 2, Gigabyte H81-S2H = has rear and mid board USB 2.0 working, mid board USB 3.0 working. Fix needed for rear USB 3.0 3, ASUS H81m-PLUS = will not even boot but has ASMedia USB controller so what would be the point anyway? 4, H97M-UD3 = Will update with result soon I will add more results as I and when I find working and non working boards..... Please anyone who reads this thread add your findings for your own config as to help others!!
