GA-Z97N-WIFI wakes immediately after being put to sleep

Hello,

I'm running 10.11 GM on GA-Z97N-WIFI. Everything works perfectly well except sleep. When I put the machine to sleep, it wakes up again a few seconds later. The weirdest thing: I managed to put it to sleep a few times before, once it restarted upon wake, but now it just won't sleep no matter what I do. NullCPUPowerManagement makes no difference, that's as far as I could get on my own.

Here's the log:

Sep 28 15:01:03 Mac-Pro kernel[0] <Notice>: Wake reason: EHC2

Sep 28 15:01:03 Mac-Pro WindowServer[186] <Warning>: CGXDisplayDidWakeNotification [108063947057]: posting kCGSDisplayDidWake

Sep 28 15:01:11 Mac-Pro kernel[0] <Notice>: ARPT: 116.778173: IOPMPowerSource Information: onWake,  SleepType: Normal Sleep,

Sep 28 15:01:11 Mac-Pro sharingd[335] <Notice>: 15:01:11.902 : Starting AirDrop server for user 501 on wake

Sep 28 15:01:12 Mac-Pro ntpd[239] <Notice>: wake time set +0.648099 s

So it looks like USB is the problem (or is it my network card?). Wake on LAN is off both in BIOS and System Prefs. I looked it up and apparently I need to do an edit on my DSDT. Problem is, I don't know how to do that. I looked at repositories with patches, but none seems to cover my model. And I don't know just from looking at those millions of lines of strange code what to do. Help? :)

I attach my DSDT.aml. Thanks in advance for any help!

Was this a clean install or an upgrade if so please specify from which OS version you updated. The reason i am asking is that unless Apple has reverted to ntpd to sync the clock it should be using pacemaker instead ... but ntpd is settting the wake time

Oh, interesting.

I started from Yosemite 10.10.5 and went through all public betas, then at the end with GM came out I installed that on top of everything. While I was using Yosemite sleep generally worked but every few days I'd get a memory leak and restart after a few minutes from the wake. Previous Cappy betas wouldn't even give me that much, restart on wake immediately.

OK this is embarrassing but I just found that "allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" has somehow switched itself on... disabled it and now my Hac falls asleep and stays asleep. I might be back if things start popping up again but for now (extensive testing of 1 minute) it works ;) Sorry.

Done Sir! So far it survived a 5-minute sleep and a 3-hour one. Curious what happens when I put it to sleep for the night. Am I right that short sleep and long sleep should be the same with darkwake=0? (As in no activity at all during sleep)

Edit: The Azurewave/BCM94352 appears as a USB device indeed, it's plugged into a half mini PCI Express slot.

The Wifi part should be reported as PCI and the Bluetooth part as USB .. you can verify this in System Report

darkwake = I have never messed with it ...

you can check your power managment value by issuing this command in terminal

pmset -g

Check PJALM Patch Repo for a DSDT for your motherboard

pmset -g gives me this:

AC Power -1*

Currently in use:

 hibernatemode        0

 womp                 0

 networkoversleep     0

 sleep                0

 Sleep On Power Button 1

 ttyskeepawake        1

 hibernatefile        /var/vm/sleepimage

 disksleep            0

 displaysleep         15

Meanwhile the computer survived a few sleeps, including overnight, but then rebooted upon wake #4. Judging by what I have read here and elsewhere, my memory is to blame, as it's unsupported officially by my motherboard (Crucial Ballistix Sport 16 GB DDR3 BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00CEU).

The PJALM repo sadly doesn't have a DSDT for my mobo :( nothing for Z97N, only Z97X.

Yes sure.

You need to edit the _prw section in the dsdt on the devices which wakes the system.

If your dsdt looks like this:

 Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) // _PRW: Power Resources for Wake
            {
                0x0D,
                0x04
            })

change it to:

 Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) // _PRW: Power Resources for Wake
            {
                0x09,
                0x04
            })

I have this patch but my Z77NWIFI immediately wake up from sleep!

Please help me!

Did you check which device wakes your system?

Some information:

Of course Powernap has to be switched off, there is no support on a hackintosh for it.

The best would be to remove it from the X86Platformplugin.kext plist setting for your system.

Don't need EH01 & EH02. Only need XHC set XHCI to Enabled not Auto. Ive done appropriate patches for the Z97N-WIFI & H97N-WIFI.

VoiletDragon, can you share your DSDT? i have a Z97N-WIFI and with my DSDT my USB 3.0 ports has USB 2.0 speed...

Thanks in advanced
