Hello!

I ran the newest Clover prior to updating my hack from 10.10.5 to the El Cap GM and did the Aptio2 replacement as mentioned throughout the forum. The install ran smoothly but now the machine won't boot.

I'm running a Z97X-UD3H, i7 4790k, 16gb, gtx960... I've tried booting w/ -x, nv_disable=1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, etc. No dice and same result. Ultimately I lose patience after waiting about 20-30 minutes... I even removed the gfx card and booted w/ internal graphics with all the above different variations and it always ends with the same result.

This is the line that it normally ends with:

considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel prebuild rebuild has expired

I'm guessing this is a driver problem or something but I'm sorta stuck now. I can get into Clover shell, etc., boot Win10 no problem, etc.,  but no idea how to fix/repair/save my current hack w/o starting from scratch. Is it possible to mount the efi partition somehow and update the kexts/config from where I am now? Any advice would be much appreciated!

try booting into single user mode -s  and then (touch /S/L/E) then exit single user mode, it will force the OS to rebuild the caches, and will relink the Kernel. it will also re bless the extensions that may have recently been added (sound, wifi, fakesmc)

Thanks! I actually just managed to get back in. I booted into win10 and used diskpart to mount the EFI partition. Then I was able to edit my clover config from win10 to add an RtVariable that (apparently) was preventing my system from booting unsigned kexts. Installed the updated web driver and I'm back up and running. Only thing left is getting ALC 100 working as the .command file I have won't run under 10.11!

TLDR; FIXED!

EDIT: I added the CsrActiveConfig - 0x3 to the RtVariables and everything worked fine after that! Happy hacking!

Hey cubedwell3r, any advice on permissions for the mounted EFI partition? After I mount it I can't open it and there is no security tab. I can't run gpedit even with the win 10 home workaround (due to a space in my username) to enable the security tab in properties.
