 These are replacement kernels that add support for those CPUs listed above! You therefore replace the vanilla kernel (file "mach_kernel" at HDD's root for Mavericks, "kernel" in /S/L/Kernels for Yosemite) by the version(s) posted above. Failing that, you'll never even boot your OS X USB installer.

Granted that, given the thread title, Spakk would have been better inspired posting his Yosemite kernel in its own separate thread.

Gotcha! :) Thanks for the detailed response.

So, essentially we still do not know if these work or worked for any of the above listed processers?

I created an account to help out on this, I will try this kernel within the next 12 hours, I own a Baytrail Asus T100 which has a Atom Z3740, 64gb eMMc SSD, 2GB Ram, Intel HD. it is running a tri boot right now (Win10, Ubuntu, Android5), I am happy to try out this kernel and mess around to see if it boots.

I have a bit of experience with "hackintoshing" I have built 2 and turned a few dell laptops.

If you need any experimenting done. I am not afraid of bricking my device as its cracked so just let me know.

Thanks :)

Also, so far I can only get it to boot 32Bit Windows and other OS'es so im not sure if this will work.

That CPU is 64bit so no theoretical problem to run 64bit OS... However, if it really turned out impossible to run a 64bit OS on it, you can forget about OS X!

Tried booting with the Kernel for 10.10, but even did not come to clover for boot. I have T100HA (64bit UEFI and Atom x5). Only Black screen when i select the UEFI Thumb Drive, so Clover even doesn't show up, any clues out there? Would like to try your kernel for the CherryTrail Atom.

Hi everyone, I have a Braswell processor, the Intel Celeron N3050.
I want to help trying this kernel, but I search in all the forum and I didn't find the way to do this.
I know I have to replace this two files from the zip but I can't find the original ones after create my usb installer for el capitan.

It's not listed so maybe it was not released when the kernels were published. Assume it would not be supported unless you could maybe fake one of the supported Braswell model. Try it, you'll know soon enough...

I have a Braswell N3060, would it even work?

i have integrated Braswell model in to the new kernel for 10.11.6 but no one has made a statement whether the kernel works or not.

www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315061-patched-kernel-1011x-pentium-celeron-atom-kernel/

please test and report.

I'll list later the additional models, which I have added in the source.
