rlf
At least one popular hackintosh item, Clover, is hosted on SourceForge. SourceForge has started to do bad things to some accounts. Unauthorized ads and adding malware to developer's packages. Here is a story on Gimp, a graphics tool like a poor-man's Photoshop: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/06/sourceforge-locked-in-projects-of-fleeing-users-cashed-in-on-malvertising/ Here is the story on Nmap, a utility to map out and perform actions over a network: http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/2015/q2/194 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306448-avoid-sourceforge-nefarious-activity/ Share on other sites

rlf
Both are very recent. The Nmap incident was only in the past couple of days. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306448-avoid-sourceforge-nefarious-activity/#findComment-2141334 Share on other sites
wegface
For these exact softwares maybe its recent, but developers have been complaining of sourceforge doing this for some time (perhaps years). Seems they are not interested in changing.
