rahuliyer95
Hello, I wanted to remove the NullCPUPowerManagement and use AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement for my Lenovo Y510p haswell laptop. I deleted the kext from /S/L/E and rebuilded the kext cache using kext wizard, on reboot kextstat shows NullCPUPowerManagement is loaded. Please help on how to fix this I am using Clover boot loader Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305286-unable-to-remove-nullcpupowermanagement/ Share on other sites

styrian
Hello! Use Spotlight to find it´s location. Perhaps it is part of an universal garbage kext. If it is not anymore installed, boot by ignoring caches. Have fun. jamiethemorris
Is it possible you didn't actually clear the cache completely? Run kext utility (specifically) to be sure... Also... Perhaps it's loading it from /Library/Extensions? Spotlight won't always show everything for some reason. Also it's possible Niresh came with some universal kext with kexts inside of it as plugins (sort of like older versions of MyHack came with MyHack.kext). EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see your update that you did a new install. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305286-unable-to-remove-nullcpupowermanagement/#findComment-2123447 Share on other sites
