bptba93
This might be a stupid question but here it goes. Can you put a stock G4 processor card from Apple from like a Power Mac G4 and put it in a Beige G3?
user2
short answer: No. If it was a first generation G4 (Yikes) then it would work in a Blue/White G3 with a firmware update. The Beige G3 was the last old world Mac and did not support firmware updating but you may be able to do it with a third party patch from Sonnetech, powerlogix or xlr8. Any model after the Yikes G4 did not have the same socket.
A Nonny Moose
Most likely no. You need a ZIF upgrade, which comes from Other World Computing.
