128keaton
Hi all! First off, let me explain what I am trying to accomplish. I have an older custom-built machine (circa 2007), which will not be extremely optimal for running OS X in any case. However, I'd like to try anyhow. I have Mavericks running fairly smoothly (the goddamn hibernate mode works, that doesn't work properly on my MacPro1,1, running Yosemite), other than some issues with the sound and the CD drive. My biggest issue is my graphics card, an ATI Radeon HD 6790. I cannot get full QE/CI support, no matter what I try. The card works very well on actual Apple hardware, a MacPro1,1, (the way I run it its technically a hackintosh). I've tried projectass's kext, but it doesn't enable support, just shows the actual card name and its specs on 'About my Mac' as a 'ATI Radeon 6xxx 1024 MB'. I've googled and googled to no avail. Thanks for the tip, I'll report back soon. What if you will follow instructions? [HOW TO] Make Radeon {Desktop or Mobility} be working by using Clover Please, edit your post excluding words: wtf, tonymac Okay, I have a problem with the guide, I cannot find an ATI7000Controller kext in S/L/E. I have an AMD7000Controller, but there isn't an Info.plist. Update: it was a typo in the guide. To get to the Info.plist w/o the terminal command, you have to enable 'hidden folders/files' in Finder. D'oh. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303051-ati-radeon-6790-help-with-mavericks/#findComment-2091278 Share on other sites
