David Fang
Hi all, I'm installing Yosemite to Acer Aspire M5-481TG using Clover however I have problems with waking up from sleep. The symptoms is just the same described http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285218-goes-to-sleep-doesnt-wake/. When it goes to sleep the fan stops, stand by led blinks just as in Windows. However when I wake it up by opening the lid or pressing keyboard or power button, the fan spin up, power led goes up then after ~2 seconds it shuts down and I have to press power button several times to power it up again. I have checked AppleRTC patch in Clover but with no luck. So do I need to patch RTC in DSDT or what else can cause my laptop crash when waking up? David Fang
Hi Check this thread it may help if you are using dsdt: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?/topic/302236-Yosemite-fails-to-wake-from-sleep I solved it by modifying OS detection part in _INI method, spoofing a Windows 2009 (Windows 7) OS. Additionally I patched RTC device and added SMBUS device. I'm not sure which one fixed my problem, but many thanks for the link.
