Hi all,

Since upgrading to OS X 10.0, waking from sleep is not working natively for me.

I tried enabling sleep/wake with different SMBIOS'es and SSDT configurations in the Clover boot loader. When verifying if wake was working my computer got stuck in a reboot loop. Worth mentioning is that my computer has run OS X 10.8 – 10.10 with very good results for more than a year.

Could I have caused it only using software or is it a hardware problem?

config.plist.zip may be informative.

UPDATE

Turned out I could solve it with a CMOS reset. Phew.

A CMOS reset is simpler than it seems, but very important to get it right. For me, i took a screwdriver and shorted two specific pins on the motherboard for about 10 seconds. Make sure to unplug everything before you do it! Some motherboards have a dedicated button that automates this.

Your motherboard manual should contain additional info on how to do it.

Your online manual (assuming the problem is on the rig in your sig) has instructions on page 20 of chapter 2 (2-20). They include a tool that simplifies the process.

And no problem! :)

Curious if you ever got sleep/wake working completely.  I'm running similar hardware as your signature (GA-Z77X-UD5H, i7-3770, GTX 670, OSX 10.10) but I cannot get sleep/wake to work.  It will sleep just fine with no issues, but I cannot wake without it rebooting.  I'm not stuck in a loop though, it just restarts everytime I wake.
