Crashman
Hey there, I finally got my machine to work with PB4. But I'm suffering some small graphical glitches. The blur effect on Launchpad and Loginscreen is looking really ugly. It is not smooth, there are harsh transitions between colors. It's looking like a 256 color (8bit) picture and not 32bit! But all applications (photoshop, lightroom) are running fine. My Hardware:GA Z87X-UD3H i5 4570S with integrated HD4600 LG 34UM95 (3440x1440) connected via DP Do you know a fix for this?thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301334-beta-4-graphic-glitches-using-hd4600/ Share on other sites

Crashman
I tried to boot with clover and ozmosis, injecting 0300220d in both cases. Everything is working as expected, just not looking "beautiful". ahmed_ais
Injecting the ID alone may get you full resolution but to achieve QE/CI the binary inside AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext needs to be patched according to this work. Crashman
@Ahmed Salah: AFAIK this is not my problem. I have QE/CI support, but it comes with some side effects... PikerAlphas Patch belongs to the mobile version of hd 4600. @AlienX: no difference following your linked guide Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301334-beta-4-graphic-glitches-using-hd4600/#findComment-2068172 Share on other sites

toleda
04001204 0b001204 Not helpful; those framebuffers have no display connectors, appropriate for AirPlay Mirroring only. The only Azul Desktop framebuffer is 0300220d Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301334-beta-4-graphic-glitches-using-hd4600/#findComment-2068201 Share on other sites
Crashman
Look at the attachment, there you can see what I mean with "not smooth" ;-) What you can see in the picture is not a compression artifact. It is what it looks like! Maybe this is a problem with the high screen resolution (3440x1440)... toleda
Maybe this is a problem with the high screen resolution (3440x1440)... Likely, OS X supports 2560x1440 DP currently. Ramalama
Likely, OS X supports 2560x1440 DP currently. Thats not true Toleda, i have the same screen LG 34UM95(3440x1440) at my work and at home the LG 29EB73(2560x1080)... They both works with display port with native resolution, but i have an UX301LA (Iris 5100) Hackintosh... With HDMI, i get max 1920x1080 at both screens on OS X... but with Displayport, i have native resolution... @Crashman Check in your display settings: Menubutton -> Settings -> Displayport 1.2 (if its activated)...
