aww
are you on 10.9.4? I gave up on 10.7 10.8, until 10.9. there are at least 3 gentlemen working a patched kernel from 10.9.0 to 10.9.3 kernel. there are also, combined patches. What i did, remove mach_kernel and force chameleon on boot prompt and type a test kernel name in. i copy a series of rc1-r7 kernel on to root, and test one at a time to get to a stable kernel that work with my AMD my amd: GA-785m with 940 x4, i did not remember the current version of kernel (10.9.2) i am running now, but the first stable on is r7. some people on net claim by remove applephet kext will casue kp, i remove applephet stop kp. (any usb dev plug into usb port cause kp, until remove applephet). type different kernel, try to remove applehpet.
aww
if you were still try to install from a USB drive, you will have hard time. the installer is not using mach_kernel, need someone patched kernelcache (your options are limited) From 10.5 to 10.6 to 10.8 to 10.9, I found a easy method to install 10.6,10.8,10.9 on laptop and AMD machine, is by cloning. I have a intel desktop .use it as a template installation. After use USB flash drive, install a new osx release, use CCC to clone the fresh installed os to my laptop 2.5" drive and also, clone it my AMD3.5" drive. Install loader on each drive, edit plist, edit kext before disconnect hd. install hd on laptop and AMD and continue test on AMD and laptop.
