Hello folks I am having issue with my vanilla Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87) freshly installed with freshly made config. The issues are: some of the animations are stuttering like opening Launchpad, making selection on desktop the rectangle stutters, moving windows etc. is delayed a bit or stuttering, pictures on web like Unsplash are loading very slowly (my internet speed is okay). Very rarely I have my iGPU working smoothly and that happens just for like 10-15 seconds. My configuration: Motherboard: MSI B360M Bazooka (MS-7B24) CPU: i5-8400 iGPU: UHD 630 Display: 1080p, right now I use 1600x900 RAM: 2x8GB 2666Mhz SMBios: iMac18,1 SSD: Crucial MX500 Some wifi and bt Drivers I have installed on my Clover (5037 or newer): ApfsDriverLoader.efi AptioMemoryFix.efi EmuVariableUefi.efi (needed on my board for NvRam) HFSPlus.efi Kexts I have installed (I updated them recently to latest): AirportBrcmFixup.kext AppleALC.kext Lilu.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext SMCProcessor.kext SMCSuperIO.kext USBInjectAll.kext VirtualSMC.kext WhateverGreen.kext My config: https://pastebin.com/AWvuJsYq Yes, I have been faking my iGPU with device-id and ig-platform-id as Kaby Lake (it was just easier for me tu run when using High Sierra with my GTX 1060 + quick sync (iGPU) because it was showing there as Kaby Lake) but that faking shouldn't have any impact on that iGPU performance, right? I know a person who is using UHD 630 on 4k 60Hz monitor and it works just fine for him so that's something with my setup. Do you have any ideas what should I check or change?
Cyberdevs posted a topic in nVidiaLet's cross reference the facts and settings and find out why we have the lags with the nVidia web drivers and why some other people don't have the lags. I have an EVGA 1070 SuperClocked GPU which is working pretty well under macOS Sierra and up to macOS 10.13.2 the last macOS update and the nVidia web driver didn't go so well. So far I tried all the following options but nothing seems to work: 1. Used only clover's on the fly patch for the board-id to avoid the black screen issue 2. Used Lilu and nVidiaGraphicsFixUp 3. Used only AGDPFix without any other patches or kexts 4. Activated the iGPU 5. used ACPI patches to change the PEG0 to GFX0 6. Used iMacPro SMBIOS without any patches or kext Nothing seems to work so far except for the patched version of the 104 or 106 web driver which has the lags but it's way better than the last drivers. To all people with no lags: Please share your EFI folders if you can. (Please remove the serial number, MLB, UUID and all the private stuff from your config.plist and also remove "themes" and "Apple" Folder before posting it) and please share your hardware specs with the firmware version (BIOS/UEFI version) Thank you all You can test the following sites to see wether you have the lags or not: http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/ (thanks to @maerten) or http://www.bongiovi..../webgl/blossom/ (thanks to @TheBloke)
