heshamwhite
Hi,I am having a problem with my chameleon multi booting between Mavericks and Windows 7. I have a hard drive with 100 GB Drive for windows and another 100GB drive for Mavericks When i choose the Windows Drive from Chameleon it gives me a message "Bootmgr is missing "and when i choose "system reserved" option i have a glimpse of Windows 7 Screen and then the pc restarts without any warning. Obviously now my Windows 7 is out of reach. I am quite new to the hackintosh environment so i guess i didn't give you all the information you would like so if anything is missing please inform me and i will provide it as soon as possible. Thanks in Advance Edit: I found out where the problem is it's the "SATA MODE" once i changed it in the bios from "AHCI" to "IDE" Windows worked perfectly but sadly mac broke it gives me a blocked sign on the boot screen "kinda like the no smoking sight" on the apple logo. Is there any other workaround for this problem? It will be quite Cumbersome for me to enter the boot and change the sata mode everytime i try to enter the other OS which is quite alot Because of my SW Development work. heshamwhite
Sorry to waste everybody's time but i seem to have solved this problem. Here is the solution may it help another fellow hackintoshist along the way 1. set the SATA MODE option in the bios as "IDE" 2. Now start Windows and type regedit in RUN or Start Menu search box and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor. 3. Now go to following keys in the left-side pane right-side pane HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\mosaic 4. in the right pane look for a DWORD "Start". Double-click on it and set its value to 0 5. restart and set the Sata Mode option in the BIOS back to "AHCI"6. Windows will require you to restart one more time Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298470-chameleon-boot-problem-bootmgr-is-missing/#findComment-2025253 Share on other sites
