cringemaster
Well should have searched, seems too many part of the apps are making calls to parts of the API not available under tiger. ~Neo
Well should have searched, seems too many part of the apps are making calls to parts of the API not available under tiger. Hm yes... The new apps need the new frameworks and many of them cant run on tiger! If you open the program (show package contents) and open the binary (in the MacOS folder) with the terminal then you can see the error! So no way to install the Leopard apps! asapreta
But in that long deleted thread that was here a bit after Leopard launch and leak in WWDC, some people installed (with some work) spaces on their Tiger Machines. iDarbert
I've accidentally discovered that Quciktime 7.2 works fine under Tiger. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29809-using-leopard-appz-under-tiger/#findComment-205831 Share on other sites
borisbadenov
I have just installed Dashcode, ran it through a few paces and no problems....yet but then I really did not push it too much with the app. I was able to install a widget on my deaktop, as seen in the screenshot. I am running JaS's 10.4.7 with his 10.4.8 SSE3 patch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29809-using-leopard-appz-under-tiger/#findComment-211054 Share on other sites

borisbadenov
Can you upload the new DashCode? By following a ling from this site, I went to: http://digg.com/apple/Apple_accidently_releases_Dashcode_ and the first link or two had already been taken down but about half way down the page was this link: http://www.bandwidthorbust.com/mirror/Dashcode.tar.bz2 SO far, it seems to work but then as I said, I did not nreally put the software through the mill. Maybesoon, when time permits. Boris Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29809-using-leopard-appz-under-tiger/#findComment-211143 Share on other sites
Korrupted
I'm pretty sure that dashcode is the one on the Macbook DVD, so it isn't the same one from Leo. I did not look at it that closely. I was just eager to grab it, try it out. Not sure how many others have ever felt that same way, lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29809-using-leopard-appz-under-tiger/#findComment-211209 Share on other sites
iDarbert
I have just installed Dashcode, ran it through a few paces and no problems....yet but then I really did not push it too much with the app. I was able to install a widget on my deaktop, as seen in the screenshot. I am running JaS's 10.4.7 with his 10.4.8 SSE3 patch Dashcode was previously leaked for Tiger 8it was shipped with some Apple Hardware-bundled DevTools), so it doesn't surprise me.
