Hi everyone. I got help from another person on this forum for help on installing OSX. I am successfully installed and everything works, except one major thing. The internet. The other person informed me that Intel Wifi is not supported and that is what my laptop has. I am completely fine with that. I will just use Ethernet. The only thing is that I don't know if I have installed the correct kext or not and what kexts I should delete or whatever. I have attached pictures of all of my kexts. Can someone please tell me what kexts I need or what kexts I should delete so I can have internet access with my ehternet cable. I am directly connected with an ethernet cable to my router but nothing is happening. I have also attached a picture showing the network card I have(that works perfectly on Windows). I could not attach all my pictures in a single post so I created another post down below which has the rest of the pictures.

I believe your HP DM4-3099SE has some type of Realtek ethernet chip going by the windows drivers download page.  Please run AIDA64 in Windows and upload a screenshot of the device ID for your ethernet.

For RTL8111/8168 B/C/D/E/F/G, you can try Mieze's realtek driver after removing other Realtek ethernet kexts (most likely have "Realtek" or "RTL" in their names eg RealtekRTL81xx.kext).

PS The screenshots taken by your camera are very blurry - try this in OSX:

Press the left <Command>, <Shift> and <3> buttons together (on Windows keyboards, substitute <Alt> or <Windows Key> for <Command>) --->the screenshot png files will then be saved to your desktop.

Or better yet, use kextstat to list kernel extensions, and don't take or post any screenshots at all. Especially ones where you're holding an ethernet cable.

Or even better, don't do any of that - instead, just post:

I have [make and model] ethernet. What's the correct driver for it?

Hahahahaha sorry about that picture of me holding the ethernet cable. I just wanted to prove that it was connected    .

I was thinking about doing the "I have [make and model] ethernet. What's the correct driver for it?" but I think I installed a kext that was for ethernet to work but I dont remember which one. That is why I posted pictures of all of my kexts. So you guys might know which one I don't need. I will post the make and model of my network card tomorrow. Thank you.

In a primarily text-based communication form such as this, your word is good enough.

(...) So you guys might know which one I don't need.

I think my brain might short circuit trying to follow your train of thought here. Anyway, need or don't need, the (inverted) answer is the same:

We don't know which one you don't need because we don't know what ethernet hardware you don't have. :D
