Could this laptop run Mac osx?

Well, the Celeron Dual Core T3100 has a Penryn core, but every extension except 64bit and XD-bit are disabled. Afaik the GMA4500 doesn't have QE/CI in any OSX-version - and resolution changing is working under 64bit. So I don't see any reason why not to try Lion or later. Hardware acceleration will lack anyway...

Thanks, i may just try Lion and see how everything goes

I have a samsung rv509, Mountain Lion 10.8.5 runs smoothly, I will today when i have time try to install Mavericks . :D

You can't compare rv509 to r519, there are too many differences:

 

rv509 - r519

arrandale core-i cpu - penryn core 2 duo cpu

gma hd - gma x4500m

in cpu - in chipset

calpella platform - montevina platform (cantiga)

skipped by Apple - used (with nVidia graphics) in late 2008 MacBook (Pro)

Meine Hardware ist nach Meinung diverse mochtegern Experten nicht für OS X geeignet, ich will dir und den fragenden nur mal aufzeigen das es Moeglich ist! Im Grundgenommen gibt es nur geringe Hardwareunterschiede und mein R509 ist ehr im Nachteil . :D:D:D

Create a DSDT.aml for your system, install the appropriate driver for your hardware otherwise no chance to boot your system.

 

Try to boot with this flags: -v -f cpus=1 npci=0×2000
