Fossie Posted October 7, 2006 Share Posted October 7, 2006 well, im looking at getting a 20" imac: 20-inch widescreen LCD 1680x1050 resolution 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor1 4MB shared L2 cache 1GB memory (2x512MB SO-DIMM) 250GB Serial ATA hard drive2 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±RW, CD-RW) ATI Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB GDDR3 memory Bluetooth 2.0 Apple Remote getting upgrades for apple products here in NZ is a real pain, so im leaving it all like that. Im also looking at getting a Miglia tvmini (to get those schweet dvb-t transmissions). The prices here are: 17": NZ $2,375.00 20": NZ $2,955.00 24": NZ $3,855.00 So what im asking for, is anyones experiences and opinions on these. Swad Posted October 7, 2006 Share Posted October 7, 2006 I have this exact model and it's easily the greatest computer I've ever owned. Silent, beautiful... it's amazing. It's also fast. The screen is gorgeous. I have absolutely no complaints about mine. I'd go for 2 GB of RAM if you can afford it. With Parallels, you'll need it. Im looking forward to having a nearly silent computer, the system im running now sounds like a jet engine.
