Hi, there is a new interesting projet "Darling" which would bring Osx apps run on linux.

The goal is to create a framework layer (like wine) based on apple Api , Darwin Open source code and linux.

It's at very first stage , but in future osx apps , dmg and pkg will be runned and if it is possible iOs apps too.

More info here :
http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2013/08/os-x-apps-run-on-linux-with-wine-like-emulator-for-mac-software/

http://www.darlinghq.org/

See ya

open source linux projects like this take so long it's not funny, look at how long qt5 took and still many platforms are not fully integrating it as many apps are still based off older qt libs. I do not really see this taking off, even wine under linux ain't the greatest. If you want to run the apps with power, stability and ease just run them on the the real platform or vm platform.

So this will never really happen will it? My main reason for running OSX is for music production.. If Linux could run the same programs I wouldn't have considered hackintosh, but that's why I started and I'm very happy I did :D

Mac OS X runs far better in all my hackintoshes than linux in the same hardware... More battery life, cooler temperature.. Great Performance.. I have no complaints
